Learn To Speak English and Japanese In Public
Welcome to Nichi-Bei Toastmasters, the one and only English/Japanese bilingual Toastmasters club in New York City! All our members know that our club is the best place you can learn communication and leadership skills in both English and Japanese. We have accomplished the "Distinguished Toastmasters Club Award". 5 years in a row. Hurray! And not only is our club effective, it is so much fun that its addictive!
Become a Better Speaker
Our membership is open to anyone who is interested in improving their public speaking skills in a culturally diverse environment. We meet in Manhattan twice a month, and in each meeting, we run two sessions; first in English and then in Japanese. However, you do not need to speak Japanese and you are very welcome to participate in the English session only.
Our club provides a friendly and supportive environment where you can build up confidence with each speaking assignment. By regularly presenting a speech in front of like-minded professionals, you will soon find yourself speaking in a more relaxed and confident manner to the board of directors, to your customers or even to your bossy girlfriend!
Feel free to join us as a guest and see for yourself how it works. We meet at the NYU Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS), 561 LaGuardia Place (on the corner of LaGuardia Place and West 3rd Street), NYC . We look forward to meeting you soon!************************************************************************** Upcoming meetings: January 10, '12, January 24, '12, February 14, '12
Please note there is no regular meeting in December. We'll re-start our regular meetings in January 2012 **************************************************************************
This award is given by Toastmasters International to the clubs that accomplished at least 5 of its specified goals.
